The Svaraveena is inspired by the ancient Indian tradition of stringed instruments, where the term "Veena" historically encompassed a variety of stringed instruments such as harps, zithers, and lutes. Drawing on the shape and playing technique of the Finnish Kantele, the Svaraveena represents a class of ancient folk and sacred string instruments that played significant roles in ceremonies, healing rituals, and cultural celebrations.

With its simple design, the Svaraveena features a fixed string arrangement (from 3 to 21 strings or more), where each string produces a single note, without the possibility of pitch alteration through frets. This instrument is a bridge between ancient traditions and modern music pedagogy, offering a unique tool for music education, therapeutic practices, and personal growth. It invites musicians and mystics alike to reconnect with the timeless harmony of string-based sound.
